Seeing cardboard in a different light after checking out Mick O'Dea's 'The Foggy Dew' Exhibition at the RHA in Dublin yesterday. Well worth a visit. So too is David Farrell's interesting photographs and Maeve McCarthy's large atmospheric charcoal drawings. Hurry though as tomorrow is the last day . . .
Delighted to say that my painting 'Lakeview' has been accepted into the 186th Royal Hibernian Academy's Annual Exhibition. This year's exhibition opens to the public on the 22nd of March and runs until 11th June. Very honoured to be part of this and really looking forward to seeing everybody else's work.
It has been a busy few months in the studio; I spent most of them just enjoying painting and when I wasn't painting I was filling my visual diary with sketches . . .and dare I say . . . doodles! Already on my second diary and it is only February! Delighted as I can see a body of work starting to emerge. Below are some new studies. Enjoy. |
